Good Choice. It shows that Mr. Obama marches to the beat of his own drum. No one can influence him on whom he feels confident in running the country with. There are so many knives waiting to stick him in his back that he has to be very discriminate as to the company he keeps. If he is comfortable about his choice, than so am I.

Join Barack at the Open Convention

I wanted you to be the first to hear the news.

At the Democratic National Convention next month, we're going to kick off the general election with an event that opens up the political process the same way we've opened it up throughout this campaign.
Barack has made it clear that this is your convention, not his.

On Thursday, August 28th, he's scheduled to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a speech at the convention hall in front of the assembled delegates.
Instead, Barack will leave the convention hall and join more than 75,000 people for a huge, free, open-air event where he will deliver his acceptance speech to the American people.

It's going to be an amazing event, and Barack would like you to join him. Free tickets will become available as the date approaches, but we've reserved a special place for a few of the people who brought us this far and who continue to drive this campaign.

If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person. Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them. Make a donation now and you could have a front row seat to history.

We'll follow up with more details on this and other convention activities as we get closer, but please take a moment and pass this note to someone you know who might like to be there.

It will be an event you'll never forget.

        Thank you,

        David

Tomorrow is the official kickoff of Vote for Change, an unprecedented 50-state voter registration and mobilization drive. In over 100 cities across America, from Anchorage, Alaska to Miami, Florida, grassroots supporters will hit the streets to register voters. With events planned in every single state, no matter where you live, you can find an event near you.

As Democratic Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas explained,"This could change the face of American politics for decades to come."

Our efforts across the country have already yielded incredible results. According to a recent Associated Press survey, over 3.5 million people registered to vote in the first three months of 2008. Now we're expanding our approach to every single state, as part of a sustained, six-month effort that could reshape the electoral map.

Most events will begin in the late morning or early afternoon, and will run approximately four hours. No prior experience is necessary, and materials and training will be provided at each location.

There is no better way to start your weekend tomorrow, and no more important work to be done right now than bringing more voters, and more voices, into the political process.

        Find an event near you.

Michelle Obama: 'What will happen today"

This campaign has always been about more than just an election.

When Barack and I first talked about doing this, we agreed that there was a unique opportunity for change in this country -- a real chance to move beyond the divisive politics of the past and bring people together around our shared hopes for a better future for all Americans.

        Today, America is watching Pennsylvania.

All across the country, people are following the results of today's primary and waiting to see if Pennsylvania is ready for real change.

Send a message that you're ready for a new kind of leadership and a new kind of politics. Vote for change today, and make sure your friends and family get out and vote as well.

The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Use our online tool to find your polling location:

We've come a long way since last February. And today, the goal of real change is within reach.

But there's still a lot of work to do -- and today, we need you to go to the polls and make your voice heard.

Take a moment and watch this video of the grassroots movement that's been building across Pennsylvania. Share it with your friends and family and encourage them to join you in voting for change:

        Thanks for everything you've done,

        Michelle

P.S. -- Here are a few details and rules that should make your day go smoothly:

All Pennsylvania Democrats who registered by March 24th and who are 18 years of age are eligible to vote.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. All voters in line at 8:00 p.m. have the right to vote as long as they remain in line.

Only people who are voting in an election district for the first time must show identification. Approved forms of identification include a valid driver's license, passport, student ID, employee ID, voter identification card, current utility bill, current bank statement, paycheck, or government check.

Message from Barack: "One Last Thing"

I wanted to get in touch with you one last time before tomorrow's primary.

We've had a long journey together in Pennsylvania. For more than a year, you have been dedicated to the idea that when ordinary people come together, we can do extraordinary things.

It's been inspiring to see our movement grow in the Keystone State, and it strengthens my faith that the American people -- not just here in Pennsylvania, but across the country -- are ready to stop settling for what the cynics tell us we must accept and start reaching for what's possible.

Tomorrow's our chance to make history.

But the election is going to be close, and it's vitally important that you vote and bring your family and friends to vote with you.

Find your polling location and vote tomorrow:

        http://pa.barackobama.com/PAlookup

When Michelle and I talked about my running for president, one of the core goals we both had for this campaign was to leave the political process better off than we found it.

That's just what you've done in Pennsylvania. You have shaken the political status quo and built a grassroots movement that is sweeping this country.

If you get out and vote tomorrow -- and bring others to vote too -- our movement will continue to grow. The world will know that Pennsylvania stood up for a different kind of politics. And real change will be within reach.

        Find your polling location:

        Let's bring real change tomorrow.

        Barack
