Senator Obama as a loyal supporter from Portland OR, where during the primary 75,000 of us showed up to greet you and show our support , we understand that you are needed in places that are teetering on the edge. but we have been there for you all along and we will vote for you tomorrow (with our voting system being mail in many of us already have). but once this is done once the important work of winning this election has finished, and before the highest office in this great country is turned over to you, then sir is the time to return in victory. We are an understanding people. We know we will not be the first stop, we know you will have much to do, but do not forget us because we were not one of the "battle ground" states, do not abandon us because we have always been there. too often it feels like we are ignored because we are not the first and we know what we want and we make our voices heard. so i ask you please sir not to forget us when this battle ends. come home with your shield held high or on it, but please come we want to know we are not forgotten.

We're just one day away from change.

Election Day is tomorrow -- Tuesday, November 4th.

We've asked you to do a lot over the course of this campaign, and you've always come through.

Right now, I'm asking you to do one last thing -- vote tomorrow, and make sure everyone you know votes, too.

When this campaign began, we weren't given much of a chance by the pollsters or the pundits.

But tomorrow, we can make history.

We've made it this far because supporters like you never stopped believing in your power to bring about real change.

    Take the final step now.

Find your polling location, and get everyone you know involved on Election Day.

With your vote, and the votes of your friends, family, and neighbors, we won't just win this election -- together, we will change this country and change the world.

    Thank you,

    Barack

Join Barack at the Open Convention

I wanted you to be the first to hear the news.

At the Democratic National Convention next month, we're going to kick off the general election with an event that opens up the political process the same way we've opened it up throughout this campaign.
Barack has made it clear that this is your convention, not his.

On Thursday, August 28th, he's scheduled to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a speech at the convention hall in front of the assembled delegates.
Instead, Barack will leave the convention hall and join more than 75,000 people for a huge, free, open-air event where he will deliver his acceptance speech to the American people.

It's going to be an amazing event, and Barack would like you to join him. Free tickets will become available as the date approaches, but we've reserved a special place for a few of the people who brought us this far and who continue to drive this campaign.

If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person. Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them. Make a donation now and you could have a front row seat to history.

We'll follow up with more details on this and other convention activities as we get closer, but please take a moment and pass this note to someone you know who might like to be there.

It will be an event you'll never forget.

    Thank you,

    David

    What will happen today

This campaign has always been about more than just an election.

When Barack and I first talked about doing this, we agreed that there was a unique opportunity for change in this country -- a real chance to move beyond the divisive politics of the past and bring people together around our shared hopes for a better future for all.

    Today, America is watching Oregon.

All across the country, people are following the results of this primary and waiting to see if voters like you are ready for real change.

Send a message that you're ready for a new kind of leadership and a new kind of politics. If you haven't already, drop off your ballot today -- and make sure your friends and family return their ballots as well.

Use our online tool to find your ballot drop location:

    http://or.barackobama.com/ORlookup

We've come a long way since we started this campaign last February. And today, the goal of real change is within reach.

But there's still a lot of work to do -- and today, we need you to turn in your ballot and make your voice heard.

Look up your ballot drop location and vote today:

    http://or.barackobama.com/ORlookup

    Thanks for everything you've done,

    Michelle

P.S. -- Here are a few details that should help make Primary Day go smoothly. Be sure to share these with your friends:

    - It is too late to mail your ballot -- postmarks don't count. Please bring your ballot in person to an official drop site or your County Clerk's office by 8:00 p.m. tonight.

    - Election offices and drop sites are open until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th. If you're in line by 8:00 p.m., you can vote or drop off your ballot.

    - Make sure you sign the back of your outer return envelope.

    - If you believe you are registered in Oregon but haven't received a ballot, you can go to your County Clerk's office until 8:00 p.m. on May 20th to get a ballot and vote provisionally.
