      Spring on the Farm Workshop Festival: Harvesting and Processing of Wool

      Join our farmers and master interpreters to observe and learn about the shearing of sheep, and the skirting, sorting, washing, and drying of the fleece.  Then comes picking, teasing, carding or combing, and finally spinning the wool into a skein of yarn which you take home. Location: Morey Barn and Lippitt Farmhouse ParlorClass Fee: Members $70 including lunch and all materials.  Non-members $80, including lunch and all materials. Requires advance registration, limited to 6 participants. Please bring an apron or comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Your workshop includes a delicious boxed lunch and you will find the menu listed below. Please choose Option I, II, or III and email your choice by April 12th to t.glisson@farmersmuseum.org. If no choice is made, choice I will be ordered for you.  OPTION I:   Ham & Swiss with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a wheat wrap OPTION II:  Turkey & Cheese with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a wheat wrap OPTION III: Veggie Wrap-Hummus & assorted vegetables on a spinach wrap All lunches include a bag of chips, apple, cookie, and bottled water.
