While reggae-influenced rock band Pepper may be from Hawaii, they've found huge success on tour dates throughout the continental US, especially on the West Coast. Pepper's unique ska sound has appealed to rock, ska, reggae, and pop fans, and the musical diversity has led to Top 100 albums like 2006's No Shame. While they haven't released a full-length album in three years, Pepper is keeping fans entertained with popular live performances, including US tour dates in 2011. Childhood friends Kaleo Wasserman (lead guitar, vocals) and Bret Bollinger (bass) formed Pepper in 1996 and, after meeting drummer Yesod Williams, began to make a name for themselves locally. A year or so later, Pepper headed to Southern California and began opening tour dates for big name reggae acts like Shaggy and The Expendables. While their debut album, Give'n It went somewhat unnoticed, their third album, In With the Old was well received and placed in the Top 20 of the independent albums charts. Pepper's biggest hit came in 2006 with the release of No Shame, which featured the hit single "No Control." Pepper's latest album, Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations, has further evolved the band's already popular sound, and became their first album to break into the Billboard 200 at #83. Pepper can be found on the Warped Tour until August 12, after which they'll head out on 2011 US tour dates until October 8. Pepper also has two shows in Hawaii in November, so check out Pepper's full tour to avoid missing out. More about Pepper
