    There are so many great places to have dinner and see live music - you can start at the House of Blues and then take a walk around and check out all the nearby clubs.

    So, I just moved here from Jersey...LOVE it here so far, but have yet to truly venture into the city. I know there is so much to do and so much to see (oh, and by the way, for those of you who live in Chicago, please know that NYC and Philly can't even stand CLOSE to Chicago!! ) So, can someone give me some good places to eat, and some great places to hang at? My husband and I are quite busy during the week, but we plan on ripping it up on the weekends. We're not much of drinkers, but we can pound back a few...we like to go out to eat, hit a bar and listen to some kick ass music...Thanks!!

    i saw bullet for my valentine at house of blues and it's really cool since your so close to the stage! but if your not in the right place you can't see anything (especially if you've got really tall people in front of you)

The House of Blues Chicago is one of a rare breed of venues which allows fans to see some of the biggest names in music up close and personal in an intimate, yet stellar setting. As a result, the House of Blues Chicago has become one of the city's top spots for live music performances. One of 13 venues which make up the House of Blues franchise, the House of Blues Chicago is currently owned by Live Nation - giants in the field of entertainment venues.

Located in the Marina City complex, the Chicago House of Blues first opened in 1996. It was inspired by the “Estavovski” Opera House in Prague and as proof of that, the House of Blues Chicago proudly features exclusive Opera boxes which offer spectacular views for its patrons. Like the other House of Blues venues, the House of Blues Chicago has stuck to its roots by displaying the “Crazy Quilt” and keeping a box of Delta Mississippi mud underneath its stage - a gesture to ensure that each performer will have the "spirit of the South" beneath their feet.

Pearl Jam, The Who, Al Green and Motorhead are just some of the famous names that have been featured on the House of Blues Chicago schedule, with many more lined up for the future.
