      EVENT DETAILS
      Ride the Willapa 2018

Back for a 3rd amazing year, Ride the Willapa is an all-levels bike ride in the Chehalis River Valley of southwest Washington state. Hosted by Lewis County Community Trails on the Willapa Hills Trail, the level grade trail begins minutes outside Chehalis, WA and will take its travelers west through river valleys, thick forests, over century-old trestles, and provide a chance to visit many beautiful farms. New to RTW2018: 4 - 8 miles of new trail to explore! Washington State Parks has been hard at work since our last event, repairing/decking trestles and improving the trail surface heading west from Pe Ell, WA. This will put the total, 2-day mileage count at 52 - 60 miles! PLEASE NOTE! THE RAINBOW FALLS CAMPOUT IS SOLD OUT FOR 2018. Alternate lodging arrangements can be made through the Rainbow Falls State Park reservation system, or through local hotels and motels. Visit the Discover Lewis County lodging site to peruse a list of options in the Centralia and Chehalis areas and beyond. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. One-Day ride tickets are still available, and we urge all interested in riding in RTW to use this option and seek local lodging options. One-Day Riders are still welcome to visit Rainbow Falls State Park as we have a Pop-Up Farmers Market and more there! We will see you on June 23, 2018!! As the date approaches, more information will be released about all the exciting details of the event. Please follow us on Facebook to keep in touch and subscribe to our newsletter at ridethewillapa.com!  ****Tickets will still be available at the door, however, your admission will not be guaranteed to include a tee shirt or swag bag. This is to respect our volunteer, sponsor, and vendor staff. We appreciate your understanding. FAQs   Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Nope! Anyone and everyone is welcome, and kids 5 and under ride free! What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Riders will need to arrange for their own transportation to the event. One great option for carless arrival is utilizing the Amtrak Cascades line, which has a convenient stop in Centralia, WA - just 5 miles from the trailhead. There is also ample free parking available at the Veterans Museum. What can I bring into the event? You'll want to bring all the items you'll need for a long-distance bike ride + items for camping. We will have UPS available to porter your belongings to the camp.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Feel free to shoot us an email at info@ridethewillapa.com. What's the refund policy? We understand that sometimes plans change and things come up. We are happy to provide a full refund up until 7 days before the event. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Nope! No physical copy of your registration is needed. Save the paper :) Can I update my registration information or transfer my ticket to someone else? As long as we have your accurate and complete information for every rider on the trail by the date of the event, we are all good! Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? For safety and accountability reasons, we require that the name on the registration matches the rider who attends. Do I need to wear a helmet? ABSOLUTELY. No questions asked.
