      Local Ordinance Update

      Join the International Cannabis Farmers Association, LA Cannabis Task Force, and the Cannabis Business Council of Santa Barbara on Sunday November 19th for a deep dive into local cannabis ordinances in various Southern California cities and counties, including, among others, LA County, City of Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara County.  Many local cities and counties are finalizing their cannabis ordinances, including regulations around cultivation. Lawyers, political consultants, and farmers who have been involved in the process will talk about the regulations and what they mean for cannabis farmers as we approach 2018. *** Venue address will be sent to those who purchase tickets *** Speakers Mollie Culver Mollie Culver is a political consultant who has worked in California politics and policy for over 25 years.  She has worked with Federal and State candidates, statewide initiatives, and consults on a variety of issues throughout the state.  Mollie currently represents the Cannabis Business Council of Santa Barbara County. Ariel Clark Since 2008, Ariel Clark has guided her clients through the ever-changing and complex labyrinth of rules, laws, and regulations governing medical and adult-use cannabis. These clients include licensed dispensaries, growers, and manufacturers in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Illinois, and Michigan. Ariel is co-founder of the LA Cannabis Task Force  John De Friel John's background is in Chemical and Biological Engineering applied to mathematical models of biological systems. The mission of John's farming company is to apply agricultural best practices and advances in biotechnology to develop Cannabis as a modern agricultural crop. For the last two years, John has worked closely at the City, County, and State levels in California to drive public policy towards a regulated, normalized, and business friendly approach.
