Captain Zorikh’s Movie Madness returns to Café Nijasol this Sunday for a collection of short films centered around the theme of FOOD & DRINK!
This monthly mini-fest, which had been in hiatus for some months, has a way of attracting surprisingly creative independent locally-produced short films and gathering them around some common theme. It should be fascinating to see this edition. The last time this theme was used was resulted in one of the strongest and most eclectic collections of films in the short history of these screening events.
The event will be held on Sunday, November 14, from 6-8 PM at Café Nijasol, 173 Montrose Ave, just a block and a half from the Montrose Ave stop on the L train in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. There is no admission or cover, but the organizers and café owners hope you will indulge in the tasty selections on the menu. The café features a variety of sandwiches and wraps, appetizers and deserts, as well as a lovely selection of beers and local organic wines.
Confirmed on the program so far are the following films:
Illuminati Brothers (Best Comedy award winner from the NYTVF) by Matt Fisher, Alden Ford and Justin Tyler
Ultimate Chef by Debbie D
Shades by Steven Gladstone
The Mandala Maker
…and other surprises!
