The Rogue Valley Peace Choir, now in its 14th season, is a secular choir dedicated to building peace, equality, social justice, and stewardship of our planet through song. The songs range from the Spanish “Si Somos Americanos”by Rolando Alarcón to “Welcome to My House” by Luc and the Lovingtons. With 90 members, the choir is conducted by Rob Griswell-Lowry and accompanied by Mikiko Petrucelli.
Under the direction of Don Willis, The Emandal Chorale is an organic, homegrown community chorus located in Mendocino County, CA. The choir sings songs from around the world, contemporary and traditional songs, mostly acappella. The music embraces diversity, inclusiveness, peace, justice and healing for the planet.
The Portland Peace Choir sings music from diverse cultures and traditions that inspires peace in one’s self, family, community, and the world. The choir is lead by Kristin Gordon George, who graduated with a degree in vocal performance composition from Gonzaga University and accompanied by Amy Vanacore.
Having been formed in 1984, The Eugene Peace Choir is the oldest of the five Peace Choirs. Diane Garcia, one of the founding members of the Rogue Valley Peace Choir, first sang with this choir and brought the concept to Ashland when she moved here. The choir combines music, message and community to enhance musical skills and contribute to the common good. Conductor David Eisenband is a composer, choral singer, and music educator originally from Atlanta, GA.
Maureen Robeson has conducted the In Accord Community Choir since 2009. The choir provides a choral voice to support the efforts of many Eugene groups that strive to better our community and the world. To this end, In Accord maintains a varied and spirited repertoire and strives to achieve a high-quality choral sound.
The One Voice concert is partially funded by a grant from the City of Ashland.
