      EVENT DETAILS
Return of the Raptors, presentation with live raptors

On September 14, Defenders of Wildlife will host our fall educational event focused on raptors and their southward migration through WNC with featured guest presenter Jen Knight, Education Director and Senior Naturalist with Balsam Mountain Trust. You will meet several live raptors and learn about the important role they play in our ecosystems, their fall migration through WNC and how you can help protect them. This event is sponsored by the Asheville Museum of Science and will take place in their STEM Lab. Then, on September 16 Defenders' staff will lead a hike up the Mt. Pisgah Trail to the summit - a favorite viewing spot - to catch a glimpse of the raptors' migration at the start of the peak season.

Space is limited. Contact southeastoffice@defenders.org for questions and to reserve your spot at either or both events.
