Origins of the Dream - Martin Luther King and Langston Hughes

Autumn Grace and The Cathedral of All Souls invite you for a morning with Dr. Jason Miller, NC State professor, author and documentary producer of “Origins of the Dream: Langston Hughes’s Poetry and Martin Luther King’s Rhetoric”

Dr. Jason Miller’s recent discovery of a long lost reel-to-reel audio tape of Dr. King’s first use of his signature phrase “I Have a Dream,” invoked over nine months before the March on Washington in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, captures the startling new connection between poet Langston Hughes and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The untold story that connects these men deserves to be shared.

Coffee at 9:30, presentation with Q&A to follow at 10AM. Malaprop's Bookstore will provide books for sale and Dr. Miller will autograph them.
