      Join the Elisha Mitchell Audubon Society for a presentation at the Reuter Center on Northern Saw-whet Owls in WNC. Retired Environmental Scientist Marilyn Westphal and her husband Mark Simpson, retired Pathologist and author of Birds of the Blue Ridge Mountains, have been monitoring Northern Saw-whet Owls in the southern Blue Ridge Mountains for many years. Their late-night study methods include night-time calling surveys and watching nest boxes. This presentation will focus on the results of their studies and include fascinating insights into owl behavior.

      Cost: Free - Open to the public. No reservations needed. Free parking at the Reuter Center
