      MARCH FOR SCIENCE-Asheville

The March for Science is a celebration of our passion for science and a call to support and safeguard the scientific community. Recent policy changes have caused heightened worry among scientists, and the incredible and immediate outpouring of support has made clear that these concerns are also shared by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. The mischaracterization of science as a partisan issue, which has given policymakers permission to reject overwhelming evidence, is a critical and urgent matter.
We are a satellite of the march in Washington

This is an opportunity for anyone and everyone who supports scientific research and evidence-based policies to be heard. On April 22nd we will be marching from Aston Park to Pack Square to advocate for the importance of empirical science and fact-based policy. Once at Pack square there will be an event with several speakers and booths about different science based groups around WNC. This bi-partisan march is for anyone and everyone with an interest in science.

Cost: Free - Official March for Science-Asheville t-shirts are now available for pre-order from the website for $20. Proceeds to fund the march and benefit science education in Buncombe Co. For updates follow us on: Twitter- The Web- Facebook-
