Indigenous American History: "Trail of Tears" II

In 1830, eager to gain access to lands inhabited by Native Americans, President Andrew Jackson enacted the Indian Removal Act, which forced the Cherokee Nation to leave their homeland and relocate into uncharted territory. Join us at North Asheville Library for part two of "Trail of Tears: A Cherokee Legacy," an award-winning documentary produced by the Native American film company Rich-Heape Films, Inc.

***You need not have attended the first part to find the second part engaging and informative.***

Tea will be provided, and the documentary will be followed by a discussion session.
