Kris Allen was the season 8 winner on American Idol, and it's easy to see why. His voice has an easy, lived-in richness that doesn't come along every day, and he has a knack for hook-filled pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics that explore the ups and downs of love. Those talents were very much on Kris's self-titled debut album, which featured the 1.7 million-selling single (not bad in this day and age!) "Live Like We're Dying." On his new album, "Thank you Camellia," this Arkansas native co-wrote every song and was heavily involved through each stage of the writing, recording, and production process.
