      HBCU’s Reaching Across International Waters (AKA/UNCF Event)

      Through an open and honest conversation about some prevailing myths of Historically Black Colleges & Universities, this session aims to empower the participant to gain a renewed understanding and provide resources to further the conversation for others. Throughout the session information related to the history, relevancy and diversity of HBCUs is explored through proven data, videos and testimonials. There will also be HBCU alumni representatives and other agencies providing useful resources to support the undergraduate admissions and application process. Session will include an insightful HBCU Alumni Panel conversation on the "15 Things that Make HBCUs Unforgettable." Special Guest Presenter: Anthony H. Brown, Vice President for Programs, for the National Alumni Council of UNCF and a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University. Presented by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Psi Delta Omega Chapter and the Detroit Inter - Alumni Council of the United Negro College Fund.
