Sorry, no exceptions. WATERCOLOR SUPPLY LISTThe following is a list of necessary materials for our watercolor workshops and classes.  Professional grade materials are recommended.  You do not need to buy new supplies but your paintings and your enjoyment will only be as good as the tools you use.REQUIRED SUPPLIES:
WATEROLOR PAPER:  A Cold-Pressed or Rough, good quality 100% cotton watercolor paper is Essential. Arches and Cheap Joe’s Kilimanjaro 140# full sheets, pads or blocks are preferred.  Full sheets, 22’x30” sold in multi-packs are more affordable and available online from Cheap Joe’s, Jerry’s Artarama and Blick.  The yellow, blue or white covered pads of Student Grade paper sold at Michael’s will not work in our classes. PALETTE:  A full-size watercolor palette with a lid is also necessary. Please have your tube paints emptied into your palette and ready to use when you arrive. Your palette should also have an area for mixing your colors.  In a pinch, a white dinner plate will do for extra mixing space. BRUSHES:  Please bring an assortment of Round and Flat Watercolor brushes in a variety of sizes plus a rigger, a fan brush & a scrubber. Watercolor brushes that are synthetics or blends are fine. There is no “magic” watercolor brush. Bring what you are most comfortable using. PAINTS:  At Red Brick Art we use & recommend only professional grade tube watercolor paint as opposed to student grade or pan paints. Our favorite paints are Golden’s QoR Watercolors for their rich, brilliant colors. They flow beautifully and a little goes a long way so they will last much longer. If you already have other professional grade watercolors from Holbein, Mission Gold, M.Graham, Daniel Smith, Winsor & Newton or American Journey they can also be used in our classes.
