      SoCalBio Networking Forum in Thousand Oaks

      Early Detection of Cancer   This Networking Forum will focus on the latest technological advances enabling the early detection of cancer by identifying circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in a blood sample or the identification of biomarkers in breath and saliva. Speakers with two emerging biotech companies located on the 101 Corridor -- CytoLumina Technologies Corp. in Agoura Hills, and Hawkeye BIO in Westlake Village -- will talk about their progress in developing faster, less invasive, and more convenient methods of cancer screening. They will share insights on, among other things: Advances in early detecting various cancers using CTCs or isolating biomarkers in the breath, saliva, and other bodily fluids. The pharmacodynamic attributes of CTCs and other cancer biomarkers. The predictive power of CTCs and other biomarkers.
