Bell Lungs (Ceylan Hay) Forging richly textured live sets which draw on drone, free improvisation, ambient, avant dream pop, noise and folk traditions, the music of Scottish raconteur Bell Lungs is often cinematic in scope, featuring electric violin, guitar, omnichord and a range of wild and wonderful noise toys, all wrapped around mesmerically shifting vocals. Bell Lungs has been permanently on the road for the past few years, performing widely across Europe, and often collaborating with dancers, artists, poets and theatre-makers. Notable appearances include Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2019, Supernormal Festival 2019, Edinburgh Art Festival 2019, Fort Process 2018, and Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2018. Prepare to be transfixed. Scotton Drive (David Littler) He creates improvised ambient soundscapes exploring ideas of stillness and solitude by combining and manipulating traditional textile patterns and folk songs, punchcards, music boxes and field recordings. Taking objects and patterns that have become fixed and allowing them to break free and move in new directions. The debut EP "Scotton Drive" was released in April. He has performed at Lotto Zero, Italy; Profound Sound Festival Folkestone; Algomech Festival of Mechanical and Algorithmic Music, Sheffield and Salontronic Festival. Also in duets with Cellist Laura Reid; Nathaniel Mann for Oxford Contemporary Music's Supersonic Late Night Event at Ashmolean Museum; and live-coder Alex McLean for Sonic Pattern, Kaunas Biennial, Lithuania.
