The Hall during WW1 - an illustrated talk

Both Moulton’s company and family were severely tested during the First World War. Drawing from archive material and local knowledge, the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust will be giving an illustrated talk about how the war affected life at The Hall, with particular reference to the letters that Eric Moulton sent home to his mother.  The Hall is a fascinating Jacobean mansion that has overlooked four centuries of industrial progress in Bradford on Avon. This talk will take place in one of the historic rooms on the ground floor.  Our guest speaker, Dan Farrell, is Technical Lead at the Moulton Bicycle Company and worked with Dr Alex Moulton for several years. He is also author of the book ‘Riding on Rubber’ and has extensive knowledge of The Hall and its history. The setting for this talk will be the historic study (on the ground floor) at The Hall, Bradford on Avon. Talks are for a maximum of 30 people. The talk will last approx. 1 hour. Please note that The Hall is a Grade 1 listed building and has internal steps - there are 4 steps to the ground floor room where the lecture will take place. There is currently no step-free access. Tickets for this lecture are £10 per person plus a small Eventbrite booking fee, and the ticket includes a complimentary drink. Please note that this talk was first delivered in November 2018.  All proceeds from ticket sales will be used for charitable purposes only.   FAQs Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event? Other than school groups, the minimum age is 16 years old. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking is very limited at The Hall.
