      Minnesota Network Learning Community Cohort 3

      Fostering the strongest possible professional competencies and networks among rural development practitioners, the Minnesota Network Learning Community offers training for emerging leaders in community development and established leaders interested in learning more. Participants will build upon their existing knowledge, accessing new tools that will allow them to increase vibrancy of their own communities and participate in creating a more robust community development system throughout rural Minnesota. Three 2-day residental trainings at Best Western Plus Kelly Inn in St. Cloud, MN. Session dates: Tuesday, November 11-Wednesday, November 12—Principles of Leadership; Principles of Community Development Practice; Assessing Communities; Facilitation Skills; Effective Groups Tuesday, January 14 –Wednesday, January 15—Community Development Planning; Community Engagement Tools; Working Across Differences that Make a Difference Tuesday, March 10 – Wednesday, March 11—Evaluation Tools; Hierarchy of Community Impacts; Conflict Management; Sustaining Community Initiatives; Moving Beyond Collaboration; Leveraging Financial Resources $725 tuition/participant for 6 training days, work between sessions, training materials, website access and meals. Lodging is $109 + tax per night paid by participant.  Participants will need to make their own reservations.  Mention the MN Network Learning Community when making the reservation.   Scholarships are available for organizations who are unable to cover the cost.
