International Film Festival: 'Woman at War'

As part of the third annual, "environment"-themed International Film Festival, Mississippi State's Institute for the Humanities and the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center are showing two international films to promote awareness of global cultures. The first film is "Woman at War," which follows the story of Halla, a mild-mannered music teacher by day and militant environmentalist by night who attacks the heavy industries of Iceland that threaten to deface the countryside. The film is not rated and will be shown in Icelandic with English subtitles.

Additionally, the MSU chapter of the Climate Reality Project and the university's Students for a Sustainable Campus organization are hosting a panel discussion. The film showings and panel discussion are open to the public. Refreshments will be available.
