      EVENT DETAILS
First Responders Day at The Breathing Rooms

Police, Fire, EMT First Responders can reset themselves for free on May 28, to commend the work they do in our community.
Mark and Tara Cunningham built The Breathing Rooms for our Shore community to have somewhere to go to heal their bodies and reset themselves. We know firsthand how hard our First Responders work to take care of our community, as our family lost Tara’s sister, Tina Rambo, Detective OC Prosecutor’s Office (EOW 8/1/2011), in the line of duty. We want to celebrate National Police Week and International Firefighters Day in May, by inviting our First Responders to use our services on the house on Tuesday May 28th.
If you are a First Responder in Shrewsbury, Red Bank, Rumson, Tinton Falls, Eatontown, Little Silver or Middletown, just email mark@thebreathingrooms.com or call 732-366-9600 to book your spot. We have 68 Himalayan Salt Room Spaces (8 every hour), 16 Infrared Sauna sessions, 16 Private Salt Room sessions, and 6 Floatation Room sessions available every day. On May 28th they will be available to our brave First Responders for free.

About The Breathing Rooms - We are a Salt Therapy business with four different therapy rooms. We have two Dry Salt Therapy Rooms (one private, one group), where our patrons can breathe in finely ground pharmaceutical grade salt, which is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal. It lines your respiratory system and gives your whole system a break from dealing with the impurities in the air we breathe all day. It is a calming and relaxing experience for anyone in good health, and is particularly useful for anyone with a respiratory issue like asthma or allergies.
The World Halotherapy Association (WHA) sees Dry Salt Therapy as a compliment to conventional medical treatments for all type of lung conditions ( Allergies, Asthma, Bronchitis, Sinusitis, COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, Hay Fever, Emphysema, Pneumonia, Rhinitis, Sinusitis, Smoker’s Cough, Sleep Apnea, Snoring, Ear infections, Laryngitis, Sore throat, and Tonsillitis). Dry Salt Aerosol Therapy has been medically recognized in Europe for over 50 years, for the treatment of breathing and skin problems, according to the WHA.
The Breathing Rooms also has an Infrared Sauna, which is great for aches and pains and detox. It heats you, and not the air around you, which makes it a more comfortable experience and it is much easier to breathe while using than a traditional sauna.
We also have a custom designed Open-Tank Floatation Room, where users float in a large pool of heated water, that is infused with 1,200 lbs of Epsom Salt. If you think a cup of Epsom Salt in your bath is good for aches and pains, try 1,200 lbs! Sessions in our Float Room are relaxing for your body and mind, allowing you to disconnect from your senses. Float Therapy is becoming popular with many from athletes to the air force, for those seeking optimum performance, and also is being recognized by neuro scientists as having positive effects on people with anxiety and depression. All our therapies have one thing in common: they activate the part of your nervous system that governs rest and digest (parasympathetic nervous system), which helps your body to heal itself.
