      2019 Fall Fest Vendor Application

This is the vendor information and application for the 27th annual Schweitzer Fall Fest.  The festival takes place over 4 days, beginning on Friday, August 30th and continuing through Monday the 2nd of September. This is the final weekend of operations for summer and is a free event for guests to attend. Schweitzer offers free live music and several other free and fee-based activities. The big attractions for the weekend are the live music, 80+ regional micro-beers and ciders served on site, and Arts and Crafts vendors!   PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE REGISTERING! REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 11:59PM on FRIDAY AUGUST 16TH!   2019 Fall Fest Information and Rules All vendors must fill out a State of Idaho ST-124 form.  If you are selected to attend Fall Fest you will be emailed a link to fill out an online ST-124 form for a temporary sales permit, or provide your permanent permit number.  All vendors will be responsible for reporting and paying their Idaho state sales taxes!  Print a copy of your ST-124 form and have it on-site at your sales point.  Be prepared to show your form to a Schweitzer employee when setting up for the event and possibly to an employee of the State Tax Commission at some point during the event. There is a $60 Schweitzer application fee (plus Eventbrite fee) to vend at Fall Fest, no matter if you attend a single day or all 4 days.  We strongly recommend you attend every day!  If you are not selected to attend, your application will be refunded.  However, if you are selected but choose not to attend, your application fee will not be refunded. Schweitzer charges a 10% commission on sales made at the event.  Please reconcile and pay your commission before leaving.  The 10% commission is an on-your-honor system and will be collected by your Schweitzer representative at the end of the event.  Please pay with cash or check only, no trades for product.  Checks can be made out to Schweitzer Mountain Resort.  Your $60 application fee will be applied to your commission payment so if you sold less than $600 at the event ($60 commission) then your application fee will be considered your commission fee and no other payment is necessary. We are not accepting food and beverage vendors at this event without prior approval.  If you wish to sell any type of F&B items (candy, drinks, chocolates, etc.) please include a detailed menu with your application, including pricing.  We will discuss items with our F&B staff to make sure there are no conflicts.  Only approved items may be sold.  We will contact you upon receiving your application to confirm any approved items. Some vendors may be asked to provide liability insurance and/or a food handler’s permit.  We will contact you if this is an issue.  Space availability is based on each vendor setting up a 10’x10’ (approximately) pop-up tent.  If you are going to need more space please let us know when you apply.  We have a mix of grass and pavement to set tents on.  If you have a preference, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.  Warning! - Wind gusts are not uncommon and have destroyed tents that weren’t properly anchored.  Plan on bringing a suitable anchor system that will work on either pavement or grass.  We’ve found that 8 cinder blocks (two on each leg) and ropes tying them to the top corners of the tents have been effective.  5-gallon buckets filled with rocks or sand work also.  Schweitzer is not responsible for damage to tents or property! You may leave your tent/tables set up overnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights but make sure you have SECURELY anchored anything you leave up.  Heavy winds have occurred in the evenings during past events!  DO NOT leave any valuables in your booth overnight.  While Schweitzer does have some security staff, they are unable to monitor your space the entire time.  Schweitzer does not have any secure overnight storage so plan on packing up all your items and resetting each morning.  Schweitzer is not responsible for any items left overnight. You may not camp or park a vehicle anywhere in the village overnight.  Plan on arriving between 8am and 9am each morning.  We cannot allow early or late arrivals!  You will need to drive all the way up the mountain to the Gateway Parking Lot.  There is a locked green gate at the back of the lot and a Schweitzer employee will be there between 8am and 9am to let you in.  Once there, you will be directed into the village and another employee will help you to your spot.  Please unload your vehicle as quickly as you can then drive your vehicle back down to the Gateway Lot.  We have several vehicles that need to get to their locations and the village gets congested easily.  All vehicles must be out of the village by 10am. Do not start breaking down until 8pm on Friday, 7pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 5pm on Monday.  No vehicles will be allowed in the village until the event closes each day.  A Schweitzer employee will open the gate for you drive in when the event ends.
