      Guest speaker Michael Racadio, LCSW, will present on the topic,"The Impacts of Trauma and Substance Use." Thursday, August 29, 20194 PM - 6:30 PM Please join us for our first networking event and CEU presentation in the Coachella Valley. We will provide networking, food, and education to kick off the holiday weekend! Workshop Location: 70115 Hwy 111, Rancho Mirage, CA Workshop Description: This one-hour training provides an overview of the neurological impacts of trauma as a significant risk factor to substance abuse. Michael has been in the field of social work for the last 12 years. He has worked with child Protective Services, Non Profit agencies, San Bernadino County Department of Mental Health and Loma Linda School of Social Work and Social Ecology. Learning Objectives: Participants will better understand how trauma impacts brain functioning causing an increased risk of substance abuse. Participants will also be provided with an overview of current evidenced-based interventions addressing both trauma and substance abuse together.
