      Teen Empowerment Workshop (program fee)

      Teen Empowerment wellness workshops are perfect for teens ages 13 to 17!  This is a non-riding, on the ground program based on relationship building.  $85/workshop - Registration link below***Financial assistance may be available for Loudoun residents*** In a very fun, motivating and engaging way, Teen Empowerment workshops address topics and challenges that teens often face, like managing stress, dealing with peer pressure, balancing school/work/family/social life, and more. Your teen will enjoy getting to know our amazing therapy horses, while making friends, enhancing self-esteem and building practical skills for everyday living. Each workshop includes fun ground-based activities with horses and peers, in an engaging and supportive environment. Simply register your teen in advance for the desired date... NO DROP-INS! Teen Empowerment is typically held the second Sunday of every month. Upcoming workshops are currently scheduled for: September 8 October 13 November 10 December 8 Remember to ALWAYS check our website to confirm your date and to officially register! Prior horse experience isn't necessary, and we have a variety of horses, personalities and sizes (from mini horses, to large Thoroughbreds). We guarantee that every participant will become fast friends with one or more of our horses their first time at Project Horse! If it's not convenient to attend every Teen Empowerment workshop, that's not a problem... we don't require any ongoing commitment. Your teen can simply attend the ones they want. Click here to apply*** Price is $85 per workshop Teen Empowerment is facilitated by Liz Moran, a mental health professional, and Maria Kimble, a Certified Equine Specialist. Liz is a FCPS school social worker as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In addition to being an Equine Specialist, Maria is in charge of equine wellness at Project Horse Empowerment Center.
