      Level 2 Award In Food Safety and Hygiene

      RSPH - Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene A one-day foundation course on the basic principles of food hygiene, aimed at food handlers in catering, manufacturing or retail sectors. It enables employees to handle food safely and understand the importance of following food safety procedures. Candidates are assessed by multiple choice exam at the end of the day. Successful candidates will receive a certificate from the RSPH. Course fee including registration, course literature, buffet lunch and refreshments is £75 per person. FAQs Where are the courses run? The courses are run at the Town Hall, St Aldates, Oxford, OX1 1BX. They start at 9.00am and finish at approximately 4.30pm Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? All candidates are required you to bring proof of identity with you to the course/exam. The following forms of identification are acceptable (these all must include a photograph of the candidate); ·        Passport ·        Driving Licence ·        Student Union Card ·        Work Pass ·        Age ‘prove it’ card for 18 to 21 years  The course is recommended for people aged 16+ but if you would like to discuss this further please contact us. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is no parking outside the Town Hall. There are 5 Park and Ride services around Oxford, more information can be found on our website: The train station is located on Park End Street, Oxford, OX1 1HS and is a 20 - 30 minute walk to the Town Hall.  How can I contact the organiser with any questions? What are the entry requirements?  Level 2 Award: no formal qualification requirements. RSPH recommends that candidates have a level of literacy and numeracy equivalent to Level 1. Level 1 is roughly equivalent to half of a grade D/E GCSE Level 3 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene: subject matter knowledge equivalent to the Level 2 Award.
