2 Day Experiential Training in Utah

This training focuses on the theoretical basis of action oriented experiential methodologies. Behavioral Health professionals often use experiential therapy in the treatment of trauma, attachment repair, behavior disorders, anger, grief and loss recovery, substance abuse, and various types of physical and behavioral addictions or compulsive behaviors. You will learn techniques to help your client become free of painful, unhappy, or otherwise bad feelings from past experiences, to change the nature of their current and future relationships, and to live up to their full potential. Experiential exercises can be used in conjunction with different styles of traditional talk therapy and will include exercises for use with individuals, groups, couples, private practice and clinical treatment therapists. Participants gain hands-on experience in applying experiential methods. Additionally, there is an emphasis on visual communication, experiential teaching, and presenting a “learning by doing” method. Basic psychodrama techniques are also reviewed. The training combines teaching presentations with live demonstration. Cost: Early bird rate - $375 (Deadline is October 11th) Regular rate - $450 About the presenter, Marc Pimsler: Since 2004, Marc Pimsler has worked experientially in a variety of counseling and consulting capacities. Marc is as passionate about doing clinical work, as he is counselor education and supervision.  Marc is an Onsite Trainer and Facilitator for individuals and groups. He maintains a private practice specializing in addressing addiction, shame and trauma. Marc is excited about the release of his first book Facilitated Growth: Experiential Activities for Recovery & Wellness. Marc was the 2010 Georgia new counselor of the year for the Georgia Addiction Counselor Association and was inducted into the 2017 National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship Program – focused in Addictions. He is certified as a national master addictions counselor, certified clinical supervisor, certified yoga and meditation teacher, national certified counselor, and is a certified practitioner with the Institute for Rapid Resolution Therapy. Marc has been intensely trained in multi modal experiential therapy as well as psychodrama. Marc is passionate about recovery, both his own as well as his clients’, believing that sometimes all we need is a helping hand and a fresh perspective.
