Linocut Block Printing art class

Artist and teacher Holly Woolson will teach a Linocut Block Printing class on Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at Peg’s Place, 1101 N. Montgomery St., Ojai.
Learn simple linocut techniques, including creating a design, carving a block, and printing it using one or more colors. This is a great way to make greeting cards, labels, or gifts for the holidays. Cost is $58. All materials will be provided.
Woolson is an artist at Poppies Art and Gifts in Ojai and a local art teacher. All classes will meet at Peg’s Place studio. Space is limited. Sign up for classes at www.poppiesartandgifts.com or at Poppies Art and Gifts, 323 E. Matilija St., Ojai, during business hours.
Through September, Poppies is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays (closed Tuesdays) and Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sundays. Starting Oct. 1, Poppies will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more details, call the shop at 805-798-0033.
