      Join us for an Acting for the Screen talk with a host of incredible performers from the world of Film & Television. This esteemed panel will talk about their work in the industry and how they got there along with sharing first hand their experience of Acting for The Screen. Our guests include: Ellie Kendrick (Game of Thrones, The Levelling), Isaura Barbe-Brown (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) and Alistair Petrie (Sex Education, Rogue One, Hell Boy) ** Please note are guests are subject to work commitments.  Here is a little bit more information about our guests: Ellie Kendrick: is writer and performer across film, theatre and television.  Her work as a performer includes Game of Thrones, The Levelling, An Education, The Diary of Anne Frank, Misfits, Being Human, Upstairs Downstairs and plays at the Royal Court, Globe and Hampstead theatres. She is also graduate of the Channel 4 Screenwriting Programme. She started writing at the Royal Court Theatre, where she has completed the Young Writers Group, Studio Group and a special invitation group led by EV Crowe. Her first play, TABS, was shortlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting and her second play has been commissioned by the Royal Court Theatre. She is currently writing two more of her own original ideas under commission for Channel 4 and HighTide theatre and has projects in development with several independent television companies. Isaura Barbé-Brown: grew up in East London and trained at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Since moving back to London, Isaura has worked regularly in film, tv, theatre, voice over and occasionally dance. She has also given talks and been on panels at the BFI and the Watersprite Film Festival. Her TV and Film Credits include: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (Warner Brothers); The Favourite (Fox Searchlight); Almost Never (BBC); Berlin Station (EPIX); Legends (TNT); The Opening (Piju Films); Always in the Present (Hyde Hill Productions); Candle to Water (Blind Pictures); The Forgotten (Stickyback Pictures); David is Dying (SAR Productions); Mosa (Bumpy Road Films). Her Theatre Credits include; Othello (London Theatre); Sex With Robots- And Other Devices (Kings Head + Incoming Festival); Apologia (Trafalgar Studios); Kings, Beast (Smoke & Oakum + Vaults); Veils, SEVEN (So & So Arts Club); Love to Love to Love You (The Library); Three of Hearts (Etcetera theatre); Great Expectations (St. Leonard's); 1867 (Richmix); Top Girls, Dear Brutus (Lester Martin Theatre NY). Alistair Petrie has appeared in some of the most exciting films and TV series of the past decade. His recent roles include ‘Mr Groff’ (the headmaster) in Netflix original series Sex Education ‘General Draven’ in Rogue One: A Star Was Story; and 'Sandy Langbourne’ the multi-Emmy nominated The Night Manager. In 2019, Alistair will return to Fox/Epix original spy thriller Deep State, starring opposite Joe Dempsie. The second season, directed by the award-winning Robert Connolly (Paper Planes), is due for release this spring.  In addition, this year, Alistair will be seen Channel 4’s new comedy Year of The Rabbit, set in Victorian times and starring Matt Berry. His further film roles include Ron Howard’s Rush, The Bank Job, Cloud Atlas, The Face of An Angel. For television, his credits include National Geographic’s Genius: Einstein, BBC's Undercover, the Emmy award-winning Netflix series Utopia, and the critically acclaimed The Terror. In addition to his film and TV work, Alistair is a patron of premature birth charity, Borne. In 2007, as well as cycling from Paris to London and running the London Marathon, Alistair and his wife successfully swam the English Channel in 12 hours and 21 minutes as a fundraising effort to support the neonatal unit of The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, becoming the first ever married couple to complete the crossing.
