      The First Ladies of Poverty Foundation's Launch Event Hosted by: Ms. Massachusetts 2019 American Women of Service and Miss Black America Massachusetts 2018-2019, Shatoyia Jones This event is a community event for women of color, allies, and their youth/young adults of all ages interested in seeking inspiration, networking and/or poverty alleviation, escaping poverty, and/or basic needs programming. More about the FLP Foundation:    First Ladies of Poverty Foundation (FLP) is founded by Shatoyia Jones, Miss Black America Massachusetts, Founder and CEO of Ordinary x Influence, and The First Lady of Poverty Lifestyle-Style Blog Princessa de la Paz. Shatoyia grew up in one of the poorest cities in Louisiana and went to one of the most elite private colleges in the U.S. First Ladies of Poverty is her way of giving back. The FLP connects women of color and allies who are actively fighting poverty or looking to escape poverty and make a positive impact to the necessary and tools for long-term success.   From basic needs to social entrepreneurship and educational programming, The First Ladies of Poverty Foundation creates, coordinates, funds and implements programming that works to alleviate poverty, as well as support programming and annual events for the women involved.
