Virtual SRP: Putting King Arthur on the Map

This presentation will be hosted live via Facebook. The legend of King Arthur is rooted in very real places across Britain, from the rough coasts of Tintagel, to Stonehenge, the Tower of London, Dover Castle, and more. Professor Molly Martin's talk will focus on how the King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, and the Knights of the Round come to life in the cities, castles, and churches of Britain, both in medieval literature and today. Together, we will explore and map the legendary king. Registration information below.

Molly Martin is Professor and Chair of English at the University of Indianapolis, where she teaches medieval literature, Arthurian literature, linguistics, writing, among other subjects. She has published two books on Arthurian literature: Vision and Gender in Malory's Morte Darthur and Castles and Space in Malory's Morte Darthur. She is the associate editor of the journal Arhuriana. Her current work looks at ghosts in the Arthurian legend.
