IJAMS CITIZEN SCIENCE: Dragons and Damsels

RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 8 AND UP Citizen Science programs at Ijams take ordinary people and turn them into field biologists netting, spotting, and collecting all manner of specimens. This month we are netting and identifying Dragonflies and Damselflies, collectively called odonates. After a brief indoor session on how to catch and identify odonates, we will head out to the trails to collect them from the water and the air.  All of the species we see will be uploaded to Odonata Central at the end to help this Citizen Science project.  LOCATION  This Program meets at the Ijams Visitor Center in the Multipurpose Room. REGISTRATION  This program costs $8 per person. EVERYONE MUST HAVE A TICKET. Registration ends on Thursday, June 27 at 5:00 p.m. If you have any questions please contact Jeremy Clothier at jclothier@ijams.org or call (865) 577-4717 ext. 127.  REFUND POLICY  Ijams awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to severe weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason.
