      McMaster Sumobot Advanced Competition

      Do you have what it takes to become this year's Sumobot champ? Join the McMaster Advanced Sumobot Competition for an exciting robotics contest. Pit your skills and wits against other students by building and competing your robot in the classic sumo robotics wrestling tournament.  The Advanced sumobot competition is an exciting all-day robotics event showcasing flashy and powerful robots designed and created by students with experience building robots using Arduinos and infrared/utrasonic sensors. Join others in showcasing your electrical, computer, mechanical, and software engineering skills at our annual McMaster Advanced Sumobot competition. This event provides students a chance to excercise their creative engineering skills in a fun and challenging atmosphere. Take advantage of this opportunity to gain experience in your field, while learning and making connections with peers who share the same passion. FAQ's:  Q:Who can take part in this event?A:This competition is open to all undergraduate students from any University. Q: How many people can be on a team?A: Teams can be just one person or up to 4 members. Q: How many robots can I enter in the competition?A: Each team is allowed to register up to two robots. Each robot is treated as a separate contendor.  Q: Are there any rules or restrictions on the robots?A: All robots must meet the Rules & Restrictions outlined in the "Advanced Competitions Briefing". Failure to meet the rules and restrictions will disqualify your robot. Restrictions can be found at http://sumobot.ca/#/advanced-competition Q: Are we provided materials to build the robots?A: Teams are expected to source their own materials and build their robots from scratch. Q: I don't have a credit card or visa debit, how do I pay for registration?A: Participants can register and pay at the Compass Information Centre desk (located in the Student Centre) using cash, credit, or debit.
