Chris Allen Bio:Chris grew up in SC. He grew up in a wonderful Christian home, with godly parents that loved he and his three siblings well. Chris loves to share how his family is what God used to bring him back to his childlike faith that was lost for nearly 29 years of his life.Chris testifies simply this; that when you grow up as the son of a Baptist Preacher, and your Mother was the Youth Director & Choir Director, that Chris had no choice in the matter.  Amazingly, yet not one of us should be surprised that when God calls one to ministry. For following in his father's footsteps was the last thing in the world Chris ever wanted out of life. Especially when 29 years of Chris' life was marred by sin - the how could God possibly take his mess, and get God's  message out of a wasted life, following the world and the things of this world, living without God in his life.Chris shares that more often than not, that it is in our daily lives that as we make our 'choices' throughout each day that molds us and shapes us of who we are and who we are to become. For Chris, God has carved out a very unique ministry, taken all of his wrong choices and through complete brokenness - that now years later is undergirded by the solid focus and foundation of purity. It is called forgiveness only found in the redemption of the cross of Christ.  For what God did, and why Christ came, past and broken lives like Chris' can be forgiven, restored, and regenerated for the purposes of God. And in Christ, it is for His glory and not ours, that Jesus saves!Chris Allen Ministries has its hands in many ministry venues, from studying at Southeastern Seminary in the winters, traveling all over the Southeast preaching and teaching. Chris knows he has to be open and transparent in his teachings and lessons learned, as he shares his horrible choices and mistakes he made as a teenager.  Choices that led to a 29 year journey of running from God. chasing materialism and wealth, years later it left him homeless on a Caribbean Island for 10 years, broken in his sins of addictions of alcohol and drugs, eventually to a prison cell. That God uses His people to come to our rescue, his family, finding Chris, in 2001, homeless on a park bench in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Finally and completely broken after all those years Chris shares this one simple truth;  "when you have lost it all, and all that is left to turn to is Christ, it is then you come to realize that Christ is all you need."
