      Statistical Analysis and Data Modelling

      Day One: Wednesday 13 November 2019 Day Two: Thursday 14 November 2019 Time: 10 AM - 5 PM Students who complete this theme will be able to:• Develop linear statistical models to analyse data• Assess the fit of their model• Diagnose and mitigate issues associated with model fit• Develop logistic regression models for binary outcome variables• Develop generalised estimating equation (GEE) or linear mixed models (LMM) to model longitudinal or clustered data Suitable for HDR students who are interested in modelling quantitative data to draw inferences Students are advised to do the online lynda.com course on SPSS  or R (as appropriate) prior to coming to this short course. Students are assumed to be familiar with the material covered in Design and Analysis of Questionnaire Surveys or Design of Experimensts prior to coming to this short course Tea, coffee and light snacks will be provided during this event. FAQ'S Is there a sign in sheet on arrival? Yes. Please ensure that you sign the registration sheet on arrival. What if I can no longer attend, do I need to cancel? Yes. It is easy to cancel your registration from your Eventbrite account. Just log in to Eventbrite, Go to the Tickets page, and locate your order. Click your order to view order details, and then select "Cancel Order" to cancel your registration. We will send you and the event organiser an email confirming the cancellation. If you fail to cancel and do not attend a workshop more than three times during a semester, you will NOT be allowed to join any Research Development workshops for a year. You will be sent a reminder email approximately one week prior to the workshop. This will include the workshops location, date, time and anything you may need to know prior to the workshop.
