Listening With Your Eyes: Designated Teacher Leads for Looked After Children

On Wednesday 13th November, Vamos Theatre's Artistic Director Rachael Savage, in partnership with Virtual Schools Worcestershire, is running training for Designated Teacher Leads and those who work closely with looked after children in Worcestershire Schools. Training is from 1pm-3.30pm at Worcester Arts Workshop, 21 Sansome Street, Worcester WR1 1UH PLACES ARE FREE! Please ensure you book using your school email address and if you have any questions about booking, please contact the Vamos Office directly on 01905 312 921. Please note this workshop is funded by Virtual Schools Worcestershire and therefore all participants have to fit the criteria above.  You can watch a trailer of the Listening with your Eyes workshop here: www.vamostheatre.co.uk/media/listening-with-your-eyes Listening with your Eyes helps develop skills of empathy, insight, listening and trust-building. Suitable for all experiences, Listening with your Eyes explores practically the many ways in which we make connections, with the emphasis on the non-verbal. It looks at the impact of body language, mood, eye-contact, touch, and gesture, and shows how tone of voice can change the meaning of the words we say. The workshop offers an opportunity for participants to see the powerful effect of non-verbal techniques, and their benefit in helping us make real and honest connections. The workshop is led in a supportive and playful way. Our aim is for everyone to learn through their own discovery; to feel for themselves, to see with their own eyes and so to empathise with others more easily. Please note that this workshop does not use masks. "Thank you for a fantastic workshop this afternoon which left me feeling energised and reflective about by practice. Truly inspiring!"  Natalie White - Listening with Your Eyes participant. "Probably the best delivered training I have had - ever." Lisa Woakes - Teacher, Listening with Your Eyes participant.
