HR Essentials 4: Managing Redundancy & Restructuring – The Practicalities

Following on from our very popular HR Essentials in the last Branch programme, we will be revisiting our company – Happy Holidays – and continuing to advise them on some key employment issues. Those members who have attended previous Essentials events will know that we have helped Happy Holidays to manage performance effectively, develop their grievance and disciplinary practices, and developed their negotiation skills to support their growth and need for a more sophisticated approach to managing their employee relations. Unfortunately, following this rapid business growth, changes in the travel and tourism industry mean that the Company has no choice but to consider restructuring its business, and possibly making some team members redundant. This session builds upon the legal framework around redundancy covered by the Branch Event at Weightmans LLP on 28 October and takes us step by step through the practicalities and good practice around this difficult employee area. Please note, whilst this follows on from previous HR Essentials events, and links to the Redundancy Event in October, it is not necessary for you have attended any of these linked sessions. A recap will be given of any key details which are needed to take the session forward. About our Speakers Harry Allen is a Chartered Member of CIPD.
