      An afternoon CPD event designed to support the teaching of Computing curriculum in Primary schools.  Aim: This event will support teachers with the development of Computing in their schools and is intended for primary school Computing teachers, leaders and co-ordinators, but other interested individuals are very welcome to attend and are likely to find it beneficial.  What to expect: Following a welcome and introduction, you'll have an opportunity to take part in a Barefoot Computing lesson. Computing Master Teacher Alan O'Donohoe has been invited to provide practical ideas for teaching Computing using the award winning Barefoot resources. This will provide an opportunity to support your own professional development as well as that of your colleagues. Expect plenty of practical ideas, helpful suggestions and transferable strategies before trying them with your own pupils. Teachers will be provided with opportunities to observe alternative ideas, approaches and strategies as well as free planning materials and resources.  Programme:  15:30 Meet & Greet: You are invited to bring a Computing resource along with you to show other teachers e.g. a teaching or learning resource you have discovered, something you've been marking or working on, or pupil work. If you don't want to bring anything yourself, you can still discover the resources that other have brought. 16:00 Barefoot Computing: Take part in an engaging Computing lesson  Provides participants with free resources, plannign materials and ideas they can use in their own school. 17:00 Close: Time to bid farewell Registration: When planning an event, there is always a risk of changes to venue, date, time or cancellation.
