      DSA Workshop, Manchester

      Welcome to the registration page for the DSA Workshop in Manchester on 13th November 2019. Registration and lunch starts at 12.00pm.The core workshops start after lunch at 1.00pm. We are delighted to welcome 2 guest speakers, Sarah Williams and Sara Hannack from the University of Derby. Sarah is a Psychological Wellbeing Co-ordinator and Trainer of Student Wellbeing. Sara is an Inclusivity and Wellbeing Practitioner, and a Study Needs Assessor. More details below. These events are suitable for learning support staff, assessors, disability advisors, AT specialists and other professionals working in roles to support FE and HE students. Please note that the level of expertise at each workshop will differ. If you are new to the DSA or just want to brush up your knowledge you can come along at 10am to get an additional 2 hours of speed training. These workshops are accredited by the CPD Certificate Service and equate to 3.5 CPD hours or points. Schedule: 12:00 - 12:15 Registration 12:15 – 13:00 Lunch 13:00 – 16:30 Guest speaker and 6 AT workshops, with breaks.    We are delighted to welcome Sarah Williams and Sara Hannack at the Manchester DSA Workshop. Sarah will be doing an introduction to the context of our current and ongoing work at Student Wellbeing within the University of Derby. This will include an overview of our philosophy, research and strategic developments within the service over the past few years. She will identify key areas of current development which have a national as well as local focus. Sara will then provide an introduction to specific work delivered by the Inclusivity team as well as events hosted and staffed by Student Wellbeing, such as our pre-enrolment events, ‘Forward Thinking’ and ‘Get Ahead’ FAQs How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
