      Creating Welcoming City for LGBTQ Refugees & Immigrants

      Description Creating a Welcoming City for LGBTQ Refugees and Immigrants Who will come forward? This event is free, though registration is required for planning purposes. Check-in begins 1:30pm. Program is from 2-4pm with a “Get To Know You Social” immediately after from 4-5pm with light refreshments to enjoy.  *2 CEUs provided for LCSWs, LMFTs, and LMHCs by FIU School of Social Work (provider #50-738, exp. 3/31/21)* Why Gulf Coast JFCS' goal is for community members and agencies to integrate welcoming and affirming systems inclusive of LGBTQ refugees and immigrants.   Where The event will be held at The Island City Stage in Wilton Manors. We chose to hold this interactive and educational event in Wilton Manors one of South Florida’s premiere cities bringing welcome to both LGBTQ individuals and Immigrants. We invite service providers, therapists, case workers, physicians, lawyers, and community members to join the conversation.   What Join us for a living room style event to explore how to create and improve welcoming spaces for our LGBTQ refugees and immigrants.
