      Climb Snowdon September

At 1085m (3565ft) Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, and the highest point south of Scotland. Surrounded in history, myths and legends and at around 500 million years old, boasts some of the oldest geology in the world. See where King Arthur was slain and his body cast off to Avalon, hunt for fossils of shellfish right on the summit. Learn of its explosive past and how the mountains of Snowdonia were formed. See the rare alpine plants that cling onto life after being left behind after the last ice age. There are 6 main routes up to the summit of Snowdon. The exact route we will take on the days listed will be decided closer to the time and may depend on weather conditions. (some are more sheltered than others) You will have fully qualified mountain leaders with you every step of the way, who are all also qualified first aiders and fully insured for this type activity.Price is £30pp. Children over 14 are welcome to come along free of charge but please note that they must be with parent or legal guardian and YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN CHILDREN (see terms and conditions for details). If you have any questions please message us on here or email us at info@mountainescapes.co.uk.
