      The course is suitable for basketball players and enthusiasts with a body that are interested in linking the deep importance of hips and their relation to the rest of the body. Connect and strengthen hips to solve problems and increase performance. Hip discomfort is common in an ageing population and Asia has some of the fastest ageing populations in the world! There is also a big rise in hip pain in young- and middle-aged exercising populations. The hip joint is the "work horse" of the body. Hip pain will absolutely stop you from performing at your optimal and best potential. Learn how to assess your problem hips and how to apply simple techniques to manage problem hips that you can easily use with your clients. ABOUT DANIEL STRANGE "STRANGEMOTION" Daniel Strange is a senior trainer with Fighting Monkey Practice and 9Speedtool Instructor. He has been educated with them for the last 5 years in the fields of Zero Forms, Anatomy of Injury and Athletic Leg Program. He initially pursued a professional career in basketball, however when hip injuries came he focused his time to studying and researching the human body. 1. Can we increase performance without abusing our structure? 2. How to better manage our aging process? He entered the fitness industry in 2012 with an athletes mindset and approaches everyday with the passion to get better. He is the founder of Hong Kong Motion. COURSE DETAILS Participants will learn basic structure of the hips and the importance of them in relation to all activities we do in basketball (specific examples will be given and illustrated for defense, cross overs, step backs, spin moves, first step etc) We will cover practical strategies to reawaken the hips and look primarily at hip extenison, flexion and rotation.  1 Knee washing cycle a Toes, heels, knees, hips, lower back b Spiral expension c Super cycle 2 Transitional squats cycle a Transitional lunges cycle b Hip rotations c Hip spirals  3 Resilience cycle a Mountain  b Overhead squat c Behind knees squat Date: 1.
