Petals in the Pines: ‘Mossy’ Tale Trail

The  2nd Tale Trail of the season, open through Aug. 31, is a delightful story about Mossy, a turtle whose shell is covered with moss and a garden of wildflowers. She gets the attention of another turtle but also from a scientist who brings Mossy to her nature museum.

Written and illustrated by Jan Brett, we learn the importance of leaving animals in their natural environment. The pages lead you to the Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom where fun play areas await you. Visit the Tale Trail table where the kids can do activities related to the story. Summer reading made fun!

Visitors can walk the self-guided Tale Trails daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Put payment in the gray box on the Farm Stand porch and get instructions.  Enter the number of people in your group in our Log Book.  Trails are not suitable for strollers. Please leave pets at home.

Cost: $5 per child, infants are free
