      Framing History

Photography has captured and changed history. At this event, audiences learn about photography's impact on society from the sixties to today. An interactive photography class for students will be held before a panel of acclaimed photographers (including official Woodstock photographers) discuss their work, its importance and share hopes for photography’s impact in the future.

Woodstock Photographers Elliot Landy, Lisa Law and Baron Wolman discuss how photography helped shape the narrative and impact of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair, moderated by New York Times Photojournalist Ruth Fremson.

In addition to an informative and inspiring panel, the event will include a cocktail hour, meet and greet, book signing and photography slideshow.

Framing History is part of the Vibrations series.  Vibrations launches in 2019 with eight unforgettable events bringing together change-makers, artists, and influencers to open conversations, inspire thinking and awaken purpose. Emphasizing the value of the arts and civic engagement, Vibrations brings the legacy of the past into conversation with the movements of today.
