      HeartCode Skills Sessions (BLS, ACLS, PALS)

      Are you crunched on time or prefer learning at your own pace on your own schedule? HeartCode is an option that allows healthcare providers to complete the majority of the course work at their own pace then have an abbreviated skills session with a qualified AHA instructor.  HeartCode is best geared to the Bennington Rescue offers all 3 disciplines for HeartCode: BLS HeartCode BLS uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, this course teaches BLS knowledge and skills.  This method of learning provides training consistency, adaptability to different learning styles, and flexibility for the student’s and employer’s time. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. ACLS HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.  Students will be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases. The cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Students who successfully complete the ACLS Course online (including achieving a score of 84% or higher on the course exam) and the hands-on session will receive an ACLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years. PALS HeartCode PALS is a comprehensive program that uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.  Using eSimulation technology, students can assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students also apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning.  Students who successfully complete the PALS Course online (including achieving a score of 84% or higher on the course exam) and the hands-on session will receive a PALS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years. OTHER DETAILS: Registration closes seven days before the course.  We will hold the course even if only one student is enrolled.  A course manual is required to be possessed by each student.  An eBook or hard copy manual is available through Channing Bete or Laerdal for BLS, ACLS, or PALS. Full refunds for the course fee, excluding the online content, are available up to seven days prior to the course.  From six to one days before the course, a 50% refund of the course fee, excluding the online content, is available.  Within one day or if the student does not attend there is no refund.  Course materials purchased are not eligible for refund.  Please contact cpr@benningtonrescue.org with any questions.  Bennington Rescue reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses for any participants.  In the event of a weather or emergency cancellation Bennington Rescue will offer a refund, rescheduled course, or credit toward a future course.
