WoE Practitioner Forum for Nature, Health and Wellbeing - November 2019

Are you a practitioner working in Nature, Health and Wellbeing? Join our next Practitioner Forum meeting on 13 November at Kelston Roundhill, from 10am - 2pm (including lunch from 12.30 - 2pm). This field has gained growing interest in recent years with a growing evidence base of the benefits of the natural environment for our health and wellbeing, emerging approaches and a developing service provision across the UK. To support this growing movement in the West of England, this Forum aims to support a wide range of practitioners working across Green Care, Eco-Therapy and other nature-based health and wellbeing services: Peer reflection, networking, support, learning and CPD Updates and collaboration with the WENP Nature and Health Strategy Group regarding local and national initiatives, policy and research. This edition of the Forum will continue discussions on Standards and Quality Assurance for Practitioners in the Nature and Health field.  There will also be time for skills sharing, and further discussions on collaborations and emerging opportunities. Lunch will be provided on the day.  Additionally, after the morning event there will be an afternoon dedicated to developing a Social Prescribing network, to which Practitioners, Social Prescribers, and those working in health and social care who are interested in developing the field of Nature and Health will be invited. This will provide an opportunity for Practitioners in Nature and Health to promote their work to Social Prescribers and others working in health and social care, and to explore how Practitioners and Social Prescribers could collaborate in the future to increase the reach of Nature and Health. To register for this event, please visit our dedicated EventBrite page. The Forum is facilitated by Michéal Connors of Natural Academy and Emily Malik of Ecowild, and is supported by the West of England Nature Partnership.
