David and Lisa Koch - Mother's Day Concert - THIS EVENT IS CANCELED

KOCHS BACK IN ASHLAND - SUNDAY MAY 10 (THIS EVENT IS CANCELED) Wacky Seattle singer/comedian Lisa Koch and her talented musician/actor brother David return to their hometown for Mother's Day, Sun May 10 at 7pm for a night of demented songs and stellar harmonies. LISA KOCH Picture Tina Fey meets Bette Midler with Joan Jett guitar chops... and you've got Seattle's Lisa Koch. An irreverent singer/comedian, Koch has recorded 5 solo CD's, is an alumnus of quirky sketch comedy duo, Dos Fallopia (with Peggy Platt), and has shared the stage with the likes of Janis Ian, Lily Tomlin, The Indigo Girls, Kate Clinton, and Richie Havens. Lisa has co-written such warped cabaret shows as "The Carpeters: Uncomfortably Close To You" (with brother David), and "Ham for the Holidays: The Hamchurian Candidate". She has appeared in two one-woman shows at Oregon Cabaret Theatre, composed Off-Broadway musical "27, Rue de Fleurus", appeared on LOGO and Olivia Cruises, and actually had one of her songs sampled by Jay-Z. DAVID KOCH David Hunter Koch is an actor/director/producer/musician and teacher. David founded the legendary Cabaret de Paris in Seattle, and has performed and directed at ACT, Seattle Rep, Intiman, 5th Ave, Milwaukee Rep, MetroStage, and more. He is currently the director of popular children's theater camp, SingOut Seattle, and freelances around the country as a director and producer. DAVID & LISA The Kochs grew up in Ashland and started their musical careers in the Rogue Valley, singing at the Mark Antony Hotel and the Hungry Woodsman. Lisa later joined rock band In Flight, and toured with local singer Lisa Spencer. David formed his own band (Scat), and toured the west coast. The Kochs were regular performers at popular Ashland club Jazmin's, and they reunite for this concert with their former boss, David (Rabbi) Zaslow. Tickets are $18 advance, $20 door. / 1-800-838-3006 Tickets available locally from The Music Coop, 268 E. Main ( / 541-482-3115) Adult humor and themes. There's almost nothing she can't do to subvert a popular classic -- Seattle Times "Lisa Koch. She's definitely outrageous and irreverent. She's definitely not to be missed." --Ashland Tidings "Koch is a powerhouse..." --Medford Mail Tribune "Hearing Seattle's Lisa Koch is one of life's wickedest pleasures-- her brand of absurd confessional comedy is clearly resonating with millions of fans." --Curve Magazine Photo credits: Lisa w/guitar- Photo by Irene Young David Koch-photo courtesy of HunterKoch Productions David & Lisa, circa 2016- courtesy of The Havurah
