Developing the OU's Learning Disability and Children's Nursing Curriculum

Provide input on the Open University’s new nursing pathways We are seeking input from employers across the healthcare sector on our new Learning Disability Nursing and Children’s Nursing curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for you to share your expertise and to provide ideas and feedback on how we can best develop the programmes to meet the needs of service users, employers and future nursing students. We have been successfully running NMC approved Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing programmes since 2002. Over 1,700 students have qualified as nurses through the OU and we are recognised by the NMC as being in the top 6% of pre-registration nursing providers. Our unique programmes are delivered with support from employers through a balance of theory and practice, delivered through practice-based workplace learning and online tutor-supported learning.
