Walking Event: John Bryan State Park

The route follows the scenic Little Miami River gorge, meandering through the majestic woodlands. You will walk primarily on natural dirt trails and climb rocks and stairs, not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Depending upon the season you choose to do this walk, from Clifton Gorge into John Bryan, glacial melt widened the gorge area leaving cool fertile grounds for abundant spring wild flowers (340 species) and suitable habitat for over 90 species of birds coming and going throughout the season. Also stop in historic Clifton Mill for refreshments along the way. Pets are not allowed into Clifton Gorge Nature Preserve; please use the alternate trail provided and remember to clean up after your pet. Restrooms are available in the park, but carry water with you. Event must be walked during daylight hours due to park hours being restricted to daylight hours only.
